My life intention has been two-fold: to save lives and to invent solutions. I have personally been instrumental in directly saving four lives. Two from drowning, one from being hit by a fire truck and another from chocking. No other personal accomplishment even comes close to making me feel worthy of this life. For this reason, I have turned my inventive skills toward improving processes that might save lives and improve the conditions under which they are saved in fire or disaster related incidents such as the 911 World Trade Center.
have dual responsibilities:
1. To save lives; this is the ultimate reason for responding
2. To save property by extinguishing fires, although more often required.
Buildings can be reconstructed, automobiles replaced but no one can replace a person or pet. For these reasons, I have focused on improving methods for faster evacuations from multi-story buildings.
Patent No. 7,308,968, B2 and Patent No. 8,074,767 also known as the Ladder Conveyor provides improved performance for evacuation on the outside of the building.
The invention, Patent No. 7,191,869 B1 addresses rapid evacuation from inside the building.
